There is no more personal a place than Swigart's Auto Museum to explore America's automotive history.  Swigart's is older than the Henry Ford Museum.  The founder W. Emmert Swigart started his private collection over 85 years ago.  Mr. Swigart's son, William E. Swigart, Jr. has the same passion for automotive history and their collection now numbesr into the hundreds.  Some of the auto collection consists of; Herbie "The Love Bug", maroon "Tin Goose" 1947 Tucker, 1948 Tucker #13, 1936  Dusenberg, 1903 Curved-Dash Oldsmobile, 1938 American Austin Bantam-60, 1916 Scripps-Booth, 1905 Rambler, amd a 1937 Cord Phaeton, just to name a few.  Swigart's museum also has exstensive automotive license plate collection, horns, lights, toys, antique bicycles, and period clothing. Their radiator emblem collection is believed to be one of the largest in the world.  A visit to the Swigart Anitque Auto Museum will get your heart pumping, wishing you could take the automoblie for a spin around the block, and wanting to see more!
